I will not be dressing up this year for obvious reasons (hint: I'm in Afghanistan), but my wife will be going as a Lost Boys-esque vampire. I don't know if anyone will get the reference this late in the game (it came out in the 80s), but I'm sure she'll look exceptionally awesome.
Next year is open season for costumes though. My wife wants to go as Daisy Duke, and I may have volunteered myself to go as Enos. For reference, I've never watched the Dukes of Hazzard or seen the movie. I'm not sure what I'm getting myself into.
The last Halloween I can remember dressing up for was in 2008. I dressed as a surfer, which basically involved me grabbing some swim shorts, goggles, and a boogie board. This was for a Halloween run, by the way, and I ended up running about a mile with the boogie board. I would have run in sandals too, but I realized that would suck.

Other Halloweens I have dressed as Sonic the Hedgehog, Hercules, and a mime. I remember that I dressed up more than three times in my prodigious trick-or-treating career, but I can't seem to remember what the costumes were.
